Samsung Galaxy S24 series is the first to receive the August security update
Today, 8 August, Samsung has released the August security update for the Galaxy S24 series. This is the first model to receive the new patch.
Here's What We Know
The nearly 500MB update includes firmware version S92*BXXS3AXGF and aims to improve the device's security. It's important to note that the update does not include the expected One UI 6.1.1, which was rumoured to be coming soon. Instead, the update addresses up to 35 vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and includes 14 improvements to Samsung's UI and apps.
Also not insignificantly, for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the update includes a critical Qualcomm hardware improvement. In addition, a critical vulnerability that could not be exploited without user input has been fixed.
The update is available for the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra models in the Netherlands, Belgium and other European countries. Users can install it manually through device settings or wait for an automatic notification.
