A few days ago, developers from Mountaintop studio, which consists of the creators of such popular shooters as Apex Legends, Call of Duty, CS:GO, Halo, Valorant and Overwatch, presented an unusual network shooter Spectre Divide.

Here's What We Know

Spectre Divide is a colourful conditionally free-to-play competitive shooter with a first-person view. As a setting, the authors chose the world of the not-too-distant future, where city dwellers compete in a dangerous contest.

The developers have announced that the game will be in closed beta testing from 13 to 21 August

There are two ways to get the opportunity to participate:

  • Win an invitation by watching broadcasts on Twitch;
  • by submitting a direct application in Steam.

The main feature of the project is that during matches the player controls two characters, switching between them. Before the start of each round, the player buys a set of the most appropriate abilities and weapons, and thus adjusts to the situation.

Interestingly, the main consultant in the development of Specter Divide is a famous cyber athlete under the nickname Shroud.

When We Can Expect It

Specter Divide release date is unknown. The game is announced only on PC (Steam).
