The Galaxy S23 lineup in the US also joins Samsung smartphones that are the first to receive the new security update for August

The Galaxy S24 line of smartphones and the Galaxy S20 FE model, which started receiving a new security patch for August, is joined by the Galaxy S23 series.

Here's What We Know

Samsung is updating carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra for the US with model numbers SM-S911U1, SM-S916U1 and SM-S918U1. The new security update addresses around 50 vulnerabilities.

The security update for August contains firmware version S91XU1UES4CXG8. It is currently available for devices on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, C-Spire, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, DISH, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Tracfone, US Cellular, Verizon and Xfinity Mobile networks. Samsung should roll out the update to other variants of these phones in the next few days as well.
