Large-scale maps, diverse factions and lots of portals: the developers of Splitgate 2 online shooter presented a full gameplay trailer
Recently, the studio 1047 Games announced the network shooter Splitgate 2 - the sequel of the game in 2019, which attracted the attention of gamers with an unusual concept, but could not hold the interest of the public for long.
Now the developers have presented a full gameplay trailer of their new project.
Here's What We Know
Recall, the first part of Splitgate was often called a mixture of Halo and Portal: from the first game has fast gameplay and general futuristic setting, and the famous puzzle from Valve reminds of the constant use of the device that opens portals and allows you to instantly move around the map.
Judging by the shown footage, all the features of the first game are preserved in the sequel. Gamers can expect dynamic battles with four teams, but only one player can become the champion of the match.
Splitgate 2 trailer showed a wide range of weapons and distinctive features of fighters of different factions. For example, the Aeros faction's fighters move quickly around the battlefield, the Meridian faction's members heal allies and see enemy movements behind walls, and the Sabrask faction's characters can put up strong defences but can't move quickly. And all factions use the portal cannon to move to different parts of the map.
Splitgate 2 is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.
When We Can Expect It
Splitgate 2 is expected to release in 2025 on PC (Steam, EGS), PlayStation and Xbox.
A companion app for Splitgate 2 has already been released on iOS and Android, featuring two chapters of the comic book Splitgate: The Games We Play.
