Perhaps, no one doubts that a new Borderlands game is in development. Officially it was not announced yet, but by numerous leaks and hints of Gearbox studio representatives it was obvious.

Finally, the head of the company Randy Pitchford directly confirmed the fact of Borderlands 4 creation. But this is not all good news for our readers.

Here's What We Know

In an interview for Epic Games Store, Randy Pitchford directly stated that his team is working on Borderlands 4. In response to a direct question about whether the game is in development, Pitchford replied, "Of course, yes." But he went beyond that statement and gave an extended commentary:

There will come a point soon when we will be ready to announce something, because the time has come for it. We are working on several projects for Borderlands. We are working on several Brothers in Arms projects...

Borderlands fans can relax and wait for the debut trailer to be shown, and it's unlikely that they'll have to wait long.

As for a Brothers in Arms sequel, it's hard to say anything for sure, as Gearbox Studios confirmed work on a game in the series back in 2021, but it's not clear what state it's in at the moment.

Flashback

While waiting for Borderlands 4 Gearbox offers fans to watch the film adaptation of the famous franchise, which premiered on August 8. But whether it's worth it is a big question, as the film has been heavily criticised.
