In June publisher 2K Games and Firaxis studio announced Sid Meier's Civilisation VII - the new part of the popular historical grand strategy game.

Here's What We Know

At the time of the announcement the developers presented a short cinematic trailer, which did not reveal any details of Civilisation VII and did not give the release date of the game, limited to the vague wording "in 2025".

We already know that the developers will present the first gameplay trailer of Sid Meier's Civilisation VII during the opening ceremony of gamescom 2024 on August 20, and after the show the YouTube channel FiraxisGames will host an in-depth presentation of the game with details from the developer.

However, we now know the approximate release date for the game as well. A financial report from Take-Two Interactive - the parent company of 2K Games - indicates that Sid Meier's Civilisation VII will be released in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year. Thus, it has been revealed that the strategy game is scheduled for release between 1 January and 31 March 2025.

It is stated that Civilisation VII will be the first game in the series to be released simultaneously on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
