Xiaomi has expanded the capabilities of its Mi Band series of fitness trackers by introducing a new health data sharing feature.

Here's What We Know

Users can now share their activity, sleep, heart rate and other health metrics with friends and family members for added motivation and support. To activate this feature, users can invite their loved ones through the Mi Fitness app. Data that can be shared includes exercise details, heart rate, sleep patterns, blood pressure, number of steps, standing time, activity intensity, weight and blood oxygen saturation levels.

To do this in the Mi Fitness app, you need to select the Health tab → My Friends → invite other users to become "My Friends and Family" → set the "Shared Data" option. The new medical data sharing feature is not yet available to all users and will roll out gradually.
