Western Digital, as part of the Future Memory and Storage (FMS2024) conference, announced new SanDisk drives.

Here's What We Know

The first new products are a 4TB microSD card and an 8TB SDUC UHS-I SD card. Both new products support data transfer speeds up to 100 MB/s. The cards are designed for consumer equipment.

The manufacturer also showed the world's first external SSD drive with a capacity of 16 TB. For comparison, the previous record holder had a capacity of 8 TB. The drive still exists as a prototype, but the company says that the serial version will hit the market in the near future. The new product will be a part of the Extreme Portable SSD line.
