Apple has started testing new firmware for AirPods Pro 2 (Lightning) and AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C).

Here's What We Know

The system received the build number 7A5266c and it can already be installed by developers. To do this, you need to put the beta version of iOS 18, as well as the beta version of macOS Sequoia and the beta version of Xcode. Then you need to connect your headphones to your iPhone and your iPhone to your computer. Next, you need to launch Xcode and select Pre-Release Beta Firmware under AirPods Testing. After that, the update will "fly over the air" to your headphones within a day.

The new version of the system contains all the features of iOS 18. For example, users can answer incoming calls using head movement. The system also includes Voice Isolation technology, which reduces loud background sounds and makes it easier to hear audio during calls. Apple has also added Personalised Spatial Audio to the software.
