Google has unveiled the new Pixel Buds Pro 2, an updated version of its wireless headphones that are smaller and lighter than the previous model. The new headphones cost $229.

Here's What We Know

Pixel Buds Pro 2 have a new design designed to improve the comfort of use. They are equipped with a "customisation swivel stabiliser" - an arc-shaped rubber part that provides a better fit during active movements. Compared to their predecessors, the new headphones are 27% smaller and 24% lighter, down to 4.7g each.

Key specifications include 11mm drivers, a specially designed Tensor A1 chip for sound processing, and Silent Seal 2.0 advanced active noise cancellation (ANC), which provides twice the efficiency of Pixel Buds Pro. The new product also has Bluetooth 5.4 support, which provides improved sound quality.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 deliver up to 8 hours of use with ANC enabled and up to 12 hours without, with the case adding an additional 30 hours of use. Connecting to the case for 15 minutes provides 3 hours of additional charge.

Other new features include support for multi-point audio switching, spatial audio, and advanced conversation detection. The headphones are IP54-rated for sweat and water resistance, and the case is IPX4.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 is equipped with Gemini Live. To get started, unlock your phone and say "Hey Google, let's talk live".
