Lead the Demon Crusade: Band of Crusaders ambitious strategy game in an unusual setting has been announced

Polish studio Virtual Alchemy announced its first game, which will appeal to fans of projects similar in style and theme to The Witcher.

Here's What We Know

The public was presented an ambitious strategy with RPG elements Band of Crusaders, the events of which unfold in the central and eastern Europe of the XIV century.

The setting of the game is based on the real life and culture of that time, but the world of people invaded by creepy monsters from biblical stories and folk tales. The situation is complicated by the fact that the crusaders, who were supposed to fight the otherworldly creatures, refused to carry out the order and scattered, so the player needs to found a new Order and train peasants and militia in military science to gather them into a squad and go into battle.

In Band of Crusaders gamers will have to develop a camp, take care of the needs of the settlers, travel across the global map, complete quests, reclaim villages and towns from demons, fight criminals and marauders, and participate in complex real-time battles.

There will be no character class system in the game, and the capabilities and skills of each fighter in the squad depend on the weapons issued to them, so the choice of equipment must be considered carefully. By the way, despite the fantasy setting, the developers make a big bet on realism, so they accurately reproduce the weapons and armour of the Middle Ages.

Band of Crusaders release date is still unknown, the game is announced only for PC.
