SoundCloud will have its own merch shop with artwork from famous artists

Music streaming service SoundCloud has launched a merch marketplace called SoundCloud Store. This shop will sell SoundCloud-themed merchandise, as well as allow artists to create and sell their own designs.

The first edition of the shop features work from artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Denzel Curry, wolfacejoeyyyy, Bk The Rula and Armani White. SoundCloud has partnered with select artists from Next Pro, a paid service for artists, to submit their designs. Once a design is submitted, the company will create mock-ups, manufacture merchandise and place it in the shop, and handle fan engagement and social promotion.

At the moment, the service doesn't charge artists any fees, passing on 100 per cent of the profits from sales. The shop will be available to fans in the US, Canada and Europe. Over the past year, SoundCloud has introduced many tools for artists to increase fan engagement, including analytics and the ability to connect with fans directly.
