Honor has announced the global launch of its eye tracking technology, which will be available from 27 August 2024. The technology, previously only available in China, will be integrated into devices running MagicOS 8.0 operating system. With this technology, users will be able to interact with their phones by using their eyes to open notifications and apps.

Here's What We Know

In February 2024, an engineer demonstrated the capabilities of this technology on the Honor Magic6 Pro, using it to start and stop the car's engine, as well as drive it forwards and backwards. Now, Honor is also exploring the possibilities of its multimodal AI technology and developing a non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) that will allow people with disabilities to communicate with external devices using electrical brain signals.

This technology is already helping people diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) to communicate and create artwork. Honor continues to work on expanding the capabilities of its AI technology to make it available to anyone who needs extra help.
