The Latvian government has announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

What is known

This was revealed by the Latvian Defence Minister Andris Spruds on Twitter. The new aid package will include about 500 drones. By the way, Latvia has previously transferred the same number of UAVs to Ukraine.

Unfortunately, exactly which drones Ukraine will receive is still unknown. The Latvian Defence Minister only said the drones are intended for different purposes. They will be transferred to the Ukrainian Defence Forces as part of the drone coalition, which also includes the UK, Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Germany and Sweden. Deliveries of the weapons will begin shortly.
