Sony has revealed the release date for Until Dawn, a remake of the dramatic horror game Until Dawn, which was released by Supermassive Games in 2015 and is currently a PS4 exclusive.

Here's What We Know

Developers from Ballistic Moon Studios released a trailer that not only revealed the game's release date, but also allowed us to evaluate how much Until Dawn has changed compared to the original.

In the horror game the detail of locations and characters has been significantly increased, every scratch, bruise, damage on clothes, drops of sweat, blood drops and other small but significant nuances can be seen on the heroes now.

Another important innovation was completely redesigned lighting: in the remake it will be diffused, in some places - more contrast and multi-level, because it comes from different sources and changes in real time.

Until Dawn has changed physics, camera behaviour, sound effects, shadows and other technical aspects - all of this was made possible thanks to a complete rebuild of the game on Unreal Engine 5 and the use of the most advanced technologies. The updated game will feature a new prologue, and some storylines have been significantly expanded and expanded.

Overall, Until Dawn (2024) feels like a new game rather than a re-release.

When We Can Expect It

Until Dawn will release on PC and PlayStation 5 on 4 October, with pre-order availability opening on 21 August.
