Hot news from Reddit: a sequel, remaster and VR version of cult horror game Alien: Isolation is in development

In 2014, Creative Assembly studio, which is known for the Total War series of strategies, released the horror game Alien: Isolation. The game was not a hit, but it received a huge amount of rave reviews from critics and gamers, and since then the public has been dreaming of a sequel to Isolation. Rumours regularly appear on the web, fuelling gamers' hopes, but none of them have been confirmed yet.

The user's story sounds fantastic: at one of the events he met a former employee of Creative Assembly, who told him exactly that for three years the studio has been working on a sequel to Alien: Isolation.

According to Arrick's information, Amanda Ripley from the first part will be at the centre of the game's plot again, and the events of mobile Alien: Blackout will be completely ignored.

Moreover, the insider claims that in addition to Alien: Isolation 2, a remaster of the first part and its VR-version are being developed. The updated game will allegedly be released in October and will be timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the original, and the project for virtual reality headsets will be released in 2025 to avoid competition with a similar game Alien: Rogue Incursion.

Notably, Creative Assembly is not involved in either the remaster or the VR port, and is focused only on the sequel, which is not expected to be released until 2026 at the earliest.

Arrick believes that the announcement of Alien: Isolation 2 will take place "very soon", and the first teaser may be shown at gamescom 2024. Probably, this contributes to the premiere of the film "Alien: Romulus", the director of which has repeatedly stated that when working on the tape inspired by Alien: Isolation.
