WhatsApp, the world's largest instant messaging platform, is expanding its ability for users to express themselves. The company announced the addition of new animated stickers created with artificial intelligence and GIPHY integration.

Here's What We Know

Users can now search for stickers based on text queries or emojis, as well as create their own stickers using AI. The feature is available for Android and iOS in the US, and supports Indonesian and Spanish. There are plans to expand the feature's availability in the coming weeks. Users can create stickers using images on their devices, which WhatsApp automatically processes by removing the background.

New stickers can be organised and reorganised in the sticker tray. In addition to this, WhatsApp is testing the ability to interact with Meta AI via voice messages, which will make it easier to communicate with the chatbot. This feature is available to a limited number of beta testers for now, but may be made available to a wider audience in the future.
