An effective weapon for any situation: Capcom revealed the Switch Axe trailer from Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom continues to introduce gamers to the weapons that will be at the disposal of the characters in the fantasy action game Monster Hunter Wilds.

Here's What We Know

The developers presented the Switch Axe trailer. This weapon consists of two movable parts and can be used as follows:

• in axe mode, the hero delivers heavy sprawling and slow attacks that hit a wide area;
• sword mode is designed to deliver stabbing and cutting blows and does not deprive the hero of mobility, so at any moment he can dodge a monster's attack or take another action.

Earlier the developers presented:

• Great Sword;
• Heavy Bowgun;
• two-handed melee weapon Insect Glaive;
• the interesting Gunlance;
• thedangerous Hunting Horn;
• Long Sword;
• Charge Blade;
• Hammer;
• the compact Light Bowgun;
• Sword and Shield.

When We Can Expect It

Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to release in 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

It has already been stated that Capcom will attend gamescom 2024 and reveal details about the game.
