Windows is introducing a new Nearby Share feature to integrate with Android phones through the Phone Link app. This feature will be available first in the Windows 10 and 11 Preview Channel, and then will be available to the public.

Here's What We Know

Nearby Share makes it easy to share files between PCs and Android smartphones with fewer steps than Google Quick Share.

How To Switch It On

To use Nearby Share, you need to connect your phone via Link to Windows after downloading it from Google Play. Once connected, you can share files directly from the sharing menu on your PC by selecting the My Phone (Android) option.

To transfer files from your phone to your PC, use the Send to PC feature in Link to Windows. This integration will make sharing easier and save time by reducing the need for separate apps.
