The first GoPro Hero 13 leak reveals new design and accessory details. The Hero 13 Black, GoPro's next flagship action camera, is expected to be released on 16 September, after DJI unveils its competitor, the Osmo Action 5 Pro.

Here's What We Know

A leak via an Amazon listing shows that the new camera is very similar to the Hero 12 Black, with a focus on expanding accessory options.

The new accessories will include a Mod macro lens with 3x zoom and an ultra-wide-angle lens that extends the field of view to 177 degrees. The main details of the camera have not yet been revealed, and there are no known improvements to the sensors or frame rate.

In addition, there will be new mounting solutions such as Magnetic Latch and Magnetic Latch Ball Joint.

The leak also hints at the possibility of a successor to the Hero 11 Black Mini. Although the new lens modifications provide additional functionality, the lack of significant hardware updates may make the Hero 13 Black less attractive to Hero 12 Black owners.
