Primate Labs, the developers of the popular Geekbench benchmark, have announced a new benchmarking tool called Geekbench AI. This tool is available for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux and is designed to evaluate the performance of devices in machine learning tasks.

Here's What We Know

Formerly known as Geekbench ML, the new benchmark evaluates the performance of CPU, GPU, and NPU in machine learning tasks. Geekbench AI provides three types of scores: single precision, half precision, and quantised, with the ability to measure the accuracy of models and compare their performance over time.

Geekbench AI supports various AI frameworks, such as CoreML for macOS and iOS, OpenVINO for Windows and Linux, and QNN for Snapdragon devices.

Testing is performed with at least five iterations to achieve the most accurate results, and the new tool is integrated into the Geekbench browser for easy cross-device comparison.
