Xiaomi has presented a new MIJIA electric sharpener in China, which is already available for pre-order and will go on sale on 17 August. The device costs about $25.

Here's What We Know

The sharpener is equipped with a dual-mode 800 mAh lithium battery that provides up to 1 hour of continuous operation. It has an integrated brushless motor with a maximum speed of 22,000 rpm.

MIJIA has a compact handle design with an anodised aluminium alloy body. It supports a variety of functions including sanding, engraving, polishing and drilling. It also features a speed setting and an on/off button for ease of use.

The sharpener is also equipped with 16 sharpening heads, which include spiral drills, wool brushes, rubber and diamond bits.

The accessories are easy to install without the need for a spanner thanks to a design that allows for quick unscrewing and insertion of the heads.

A pull-out storage box provides convenient access to all components. Global availability of the new product has not yet been confirmed.
