The Japan International Cooperation Agency has ordered minibuses from Ukrainian companies to be handed over to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The Japanese agency has ordered 12 minibuses from Cherkasy Bus to be manufactured by Cherkasy Bus. The vehicles will be delivered in November this year.

The agency also ordered eight trailers from Trans-Auto-D to transport demining vehicles. The trailers are mounted on IVECO trucks and then handed over to the SES sappers.

It is worth noting that the purchase of demining equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers is part of the Made in Ukraine initiative. Japan is a participant in this initiative, and is responsible for humanitarian demining under the Ministry of Economy. By the way, the amount of funding for mine action projects in Ukraine is more than $70 million.
