Samsung is updating its foldable Galaxy Flip 5 and Fold 5 smartphones in many countries across Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe

Last week it became known that Samsung started updating the foldable smartphones Galaxy Flip 5 and Fold 5 in the US. According to the latest data, the update for these models appeared in many other countries, including Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The new security update for Galaxy Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5 is now available in countries such as Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Guatemala, India, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Caucasus region, UAE, Tunisia, Turkey, Vietnam and Ukraine. The firmware versions are numbered F731BXXS3CXGD and F946BXXS3CXGD respectively.

The update brings a security patch dated August 2024 that addresses 49 security vulnerabilities found in previous versions of the software. Aside from the security enhancement, no other improvements are announced. More software changes are expected in the next big One UI 6.1.1 update, which is expected for these devices next month.
