On 16 August, the Gemini app became available for download from the Play Store on Android tablets. This app already supports the Pixel tablet, but the Google Assistant features have been partially retained.

Here's What We Know

Users can continue to configure the tablet via a shortcut on the home screen, but the Gemini interface is not yet optimised for large screens and the app bar is centred.

When using the Pixel tablet in hub mode, Google Assistant remains active when docked. Google Assistant allows you to control smart devices and execute commands through voice requests.

Gemini does not yet support built-in Google Home control, but Google has announced its integration for future updates.
