Often, before buying a new smartphone, you go to the shop to hold it in your hands, look at all the nuances and try it out. Of course, you can make a blind "purchase" based only on images and reviews, but what if the gadget is too heavy and the colour of the case looks different in person? Apple is already working on a way for customers to test devices from the comfort of their own homes.

Here's What We Know

Apple has filed a patent application that describes a plan to expand the capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro headset. With its help, customers will be able to virtually test the new iPhone, without visiting the shop. And to test thoroughly: not only to twirl in hands, but also to make a photo, evaluate the interface, play games.

According to the company's idea, the headset will help to test not only smartphones, but also iPads and Macs. For example, to set the necessary settings and run demanding programmes to evaluate performance. As a result, buyers will better understand which model will suit their needs and how much memory is needed for comfortable use.

It sounds intriguing, but for now it's just a patent. Whether Apple will bring it to life remains to be seen.
