Rumour: the unannounced Huawei Watch D2 smartwatch has been granted a medical device licence in China

At the end of 2021, Huawei introduced the Watch D smartwatch with the function of measuring blood pressure. And now the company is preparing a successor - Huawei Watch D2.

It looks like the watch is ready for launch. According to an insider, Huawei's wearable device recently received a Chinese medical device licence. This licence is required for medical device sales in China.

At the same time, the licence does not reveal the official name of the gadget - it is mentioned as "ambulatory wrist blood pressure recorder". There are also three variants of the watch in the licence with model numbers LCA-B10, LCA-B11 and LCA-B12. All these details indicate that this particular Huawei Watch D2.

The watch is expected to be able to measure blood pressure, both systolic and diastolic, as well as static heart rate for users aged 18 and above. The rest of the specifications are not yet known.

It is possible that the Huawei D2 watch will debut alongside the flagship Huawei Mate 70 smartphone.
