At the end of June, the PC-version of the original Resident Evil with minor technical improvements appeared for the first time in the GOG shop.

Representatives of the site immediately stated that within a few months gamers will be offered similar editions of the second and third parts of Resident Evil.

Here's What We Know

Today GOG reported that the cult horror Resident Evil 2 can be purchased in this shop from 27 August.

Now it is unknown, with what improvements will be released the famous game of 1998, but judging by the edition of the first part, GOG specialists will fix old bugs, make Resident Evil 2 compatible with modern computers, improve the display of textures and staged scenes, implement support for all popular controllers, including DualSense, Switch and Xbox. It is important to emphasise that this will not be an HD remaster or any other re-release, but the original game adapted for modern systems. Like all GOG games, Resident Evil 2 will be DRM-free and will not require a constant internet connection.

Customers are encouraged to purchase all three Resident Evil instalments as part of a single compilation.
