Prepare a capacious SSD - system requirements for the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI have been revealed
Today Square Enix revealed the release date of PC-version of Final Fantasy XVI - the game will be released on 17th of September.
Shortly after the trailer was published, the action pages opened in Steam and EGS, and together with them the system requirements of the game became known.
Here's What We Know
Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy series, warned for a long time that the PC version of FFXVI requires SSD-drive to run. Well, his words proved true and what's more, gamers will need 170GB of free space to install the game.
It should also be noted that the game requires 16 GB of RAM, and otherwise the requirements are quite democratic.
System Requirements
Minimum
- OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit);
- processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-8400;
- graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 5700 or Intel Arc A580 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (with at least 8 GB of video memory);
- RAM: 16 GB;
- DirectX 12
- 170GB SSD.

- processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel Core i7-10700;
- graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 (with at least 8GB of video memory);
- RAM: 16 GB;
- DirectX 12;
- 170GB SSD.
Players will be offered the full version of Final Fantasy XVI with all free updates and story add-ons Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide.
The edition will cost $70, and for $50 the game will be available without DLC.
A demo of Final Fantasy XVI is already available on Steam and EGS, which will allow you to play the first few chapters, and after that players are offered to try out the Eikonic Challenge mode to get a better understanding of the action game's complex combat system.
