Huawei is preparing to release a new Mate 70 series, and the first images of the back panel of these devices have already appeared. The Mate 60 series was introduced in August last year, so the new models are likely to appear around this time. However, Weibo Digital Chat Station suggests that the launch may be delayed until the middle or end of the fourth quarter.

Here's What We Know

The latest leaks show that the Mate 70 series will receive a modified camera module. In particular, a large notch has appeared on the top of the module, indicating the relocation of one of the camera sensors.

The octagonal module, which is likely to be in the Mate 70 RS Ultimate, has even sharper corners compared to the similar module in the Mate 60 RS Ultimate.

The new series is expected to be equipped with next-generation Kirin chips and may feature 3D facial recognition technology. It is also expected that the Mate 70 will be one of the first lines to use the new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system.
