ASUS announced a new flagship laptop Zenbook S 16 in Ukraine: thin, light, durable and high-performance

Asus has introduced in Ukraine a new ultra-thin and light notebook ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606), which has a number of innovations and improvements.

The body of the new ASUS model is made of ceramic aluminium, which makes the laptop lightweight, only 1.5 kg, and at the same time durable, as confirmed by the available US military protection standard MIL-STD 810H. The ultra-thin 1.1cm thick chassis features a 16-inch ASUS Lumina OLED display with 3K resolution and 120Hz screen frequency. The case also has a 3D vapour chamber for cooling and a special geometry grid.

The ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606) will be available in two configurations. The first with a 10-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor with a maximum frequency of 5.0 GHz and AMD Radeon 880M graphics and the second variant with a 12-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with a maximum frequency of 5.1 GHz and AMD Radeon 890M graphics. The new product will also get AMD XDNA™ NPU neural processor for AI task processing, which has a performance of up to 50 TOPS.

Memory options with 24GB and 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB or 2TB of NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD type storage will be available. Among the available connectivity ports will be:
1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, 2 USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 3.5mm combo audio jack and 1 SD 4.0 card reader slot.

The laptop also has a backlit island keyboard with a separate AI Copilot call key, an FHD camera, 6 speakers with Harman/Kardon sound tuning, and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless standards. It is powered by a 4-cell 78Wh battery with 65W charging support via the Type-C connector.

The ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606) laptop will be available in two colours Zumaia Gray and Scandinavian White and will come with Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro.

ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606) with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, 32 gigabytes of RAM and 2TB SSD will go on sale in Ukraine at the end of August at a price of 94,499 UAH. There is no information about the arrival of other configuration of the model yet. Pre-order is open in the official ASUS shop and partners of the company in Ukraine.
