3C Certification has revealed the battery capacity of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A16 5G smartphone Samsung Galaxy A16
Samsung is soon planning to expand its Galaxy A series, known for its mid-range and entry-level smartphones, with the launch of the new Galaxy A16 5G.
Here's What We Know
Our colleagues at MySmartPrice spotted the Galaxy A16 5G on the 3C certification website, which states that it features a 4,860mAh battery, which will likely be advertised as a 5,000mAh battery, similar to its predecessor. The 3C lists two battery models, the EB-BA166ABY and EB-BA166ABE2. While there is no information on charging capabilities yet, the device is expected to support fast wired charging up to 25W, just like the current model.
Earlier, two versions of the Galaxy A16 5G were spotted on Geekbench. One model, probably destined for Asia or Africa, is powered by an Exynos 1330 5G chipset, while the other is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The device will have 6GB of RAM and will run Android 14. While no storage details are given, the phone is likely to offer 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Samsung is also developing a 4G version of the Galaxy A16, which is likely to use a different chipset. The budget Galaxy A16 is expected to be available in December.
