Google confirms that Pixel Watch 3 cannot be repaired

Google has released the third version of its Pixel Watch 3 smartwatch, but, as in previous models, there is no possibility of repairing the device. Instead, users are only offered to replace the damaged gadget.

Since the launch of the first Pixel Watch model, it has been clear that Google does not offer repair options. If the device broke and was under warranty, it was simply replaced with a new one. This means that neither the screen nor the battery can be replaced.

Despite the upgraded materials in the Pixel Watch 2, Google has not introduced a repair option for this model, but instead introduced an insurance programme.

It has been confirmed that the Pixel Watch 3 will also be available for replacement only. Google representatives told Android Authority that in the event of a breakdown, users should contact customer support, where they will be offered options for replacing the device.

Google also continues to offer the Preferred Care insurance programme, which provides for the replacement of smartwatches even after the warranty expires for an additional fee.

The Pixel Watch 3 will be available in September.
