Microsoft will only add new releases to Game Pass Standard after 12 months (or more)

In July , we wrote that Microsoft was raising Game Pass prices, removing the Game Pass console plan, and adding Game Pass Standard, which is cheaper but doesn't include games on release day. But how long do you have to wait for the new games to appear in Standard? You won't like the answer very much.

Here's What We Know

Microsoft has answered this question: "Some titles coming to Game Pass Ultimate (day one or other titles) will not be immediately available in Game Pass Standard and may be added to the library in the future (this may take up to 12 months or more)."

So, for example, if you want to play Black Ops 6 for free, you have to wait until 2025.

We'd like to remind you that Standard will be available in the coming months and will cost $15, so if you don't need to play games on their release day, this tariff will suit you, as you will still get access to the library with hundreds of games. However, if the games on release are important to you, then it is better to pay $5 and get the Ultimate plan.
