Towerborne will be a free-to-play game, and is not available in early access on Xbox consoles

Microsoft together with Stoic Studio announced that Towerborne will be released in early access on 10 September, but only on PC on Steam - the release for Xbox consoles will take place later.

After its full release, the game will switch to a completely free distribution model, but during the early access period, a Founder's Pack will be available for those who wish to support the game. The game's director, Daniel McLaren, explained that the Founder's Pack will help to identify and resolve potential issues that may arise at an early stage, and also invites dedicated players to help shape the future of Towerborne.
