After the closure of Typhoon Studios, which was developing Journey to the Savage Planet in 2021, the future of the new IP looked bleak, but after the studio's reform at the end of the same year and amid recent reports, the situation has become more optimistic. And now, the extension has been officially announced. During the previous Gamescom Opening Night Live show, developer Raccoon Logic presented Revenge of the Savage Planet:

Here's What We Know

In Revenge of the Savage Planet, players will embark on a new adventure on a hostile alien planet with the same absurd humour as the previous instalment. In addition to the new single-player campaign, players will also be able to play in online and split-screen modes.

Cross-play will be supported and there will be no DRM or microtransactions. The full gameplay reveal is scheduled for the Xbox Gamescom stream tomorrow, 21 August.
