Google unveils new Gemini smart features for Gmail users across all platforms

Google has announced the addition of two new Gemini AI-powered features for users of the web version of Gmail, Android and iOS versions.

One of the features helps users finalise draft emails using artificial intelligence. The new feature includes "Formalise," "Refine," and "Shorten" options to turn draft notes into formal, finalised drafts.

Google has also added "Help Me Write" and "Refine My Draft" shortcuts on Android and iOS devices. The "Help me write" shortcut appears in the body of an email when the draft is empty, and "Refine my draft" appears when there are at least 12 words in the draft. These features are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

The new features are available for Google Workspace customers with the Gemini Business and Enterprise add-on, Gemini Education and Education Premium, and Google One AI Premium.
