We have already written more than once that Samsung is preparing to release the first test build of One UI 7. Now it has become known that the release of the testing programme has been postponed.

Here's What We Know

Initially, the Korean manufacturer wanted to release the firmware in August, but according to SamMobile, the release of the system was postponed to September. This is due to the fact that in the near future the company will begin to distribute the One UI 6.1.1 shell on its older devices.

Flashback

We already know that One UI 7 will be based on the Android 15 operating system. The shell will get significant visual changes inspired by iOS 18 and HyperOS. Most notable will be the icons, which will have a rounded shape with a subtle 3D effect like in macOS or VisionOS. Users will also be able to customise quick actions on the lock screen. One UI 7 will also add an updated notification panel, new branded apps, and more.
