In April 2022, Jitter, a Ukrainian indie space exploration game, was announced, where we play as an AI spacecraft system that has to find and rescue its crew. And now the game has received a demo on Steam.

Here's What We Know

The game is based on a mysterious accident that caused large-scale destruction of a mining colony in the Main Asteroid Belt. You have to play as an AI spacecraft system that has to find and rescue its crew.

Jitter is a space adventure simulator where you can complete each mission in different ways. Players will be able to manage ships and bases, fight enemies in outer space and on board, and give instructions to subordinate crew members.

One of the key features of Jitter is the environment destruction mechanic, which encourages players to think outside the box. For example, an enemy outpost can not only be bombarded with cannon fire or captured from the inside, but also destroyed by the debris of a neighbouring asteroid.

To survive in the harsh conditions of space, players need to ensure the reliable operation of their ships: adjust life support systems, monitor oxygen and repair damage from enemy attacks or accidents. Ships and bases can also be upgraded with modules that can be attached or detached at any time - for example, to get rid of cargo and avoid enemy fire.

The authors also promise dynamic gameplay, ship modification, space battles and boardings, and crew management in a mysterious sci-fi world wrapped in a minimalist pixelated style in green tones.

Where To Play

The Jitter demo is available on PC (Steam) only. You can download it here.
