Publisher Ubisoft has made an announcement that will delight fans of classic turn-based strategy games and, in particular, the cult franchise Heroes of Might and Magic.

Here's What We Know

The public was presented the debut trailer of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era - a new part of the legendary series.

It will be a prequel to the first part, the events of which will unfold on the continent Jadame, which was repeatedly mentioned in previous games, but never presented.

The game is positioned as a return to the origins of the famous franchise, and this thesis is confirmed by the fact that stylistically and, judging by the footage, gameplay Olden Era most of all resembles the third part of Heroes of Might and Magic, which most fans recognise as the best.

The new strategy will offer five playable factions:

  • Temple(Temple);
  • Necropolis;
  • Forest Alliance (Sylvan);
  • Dungeon;
  • Hiv is a new faction.

The developer has hinted that he will introduce some more unexpected factions later on.

When We Can Expect It

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will be released on Steam Early Access in 2025 to coincide with the series' 30th anniversary.
