The first trailer for the anime film Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War has been released

Warner Bros. Pictures released the first trailer of the animated prequel "The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War", directed by Kenji Kamiyama.

Here's What We Know

The film is set 183 years before the events of the original trilogy and tells the story of the fate of House Helm Molotoruk, the legendary king of Rohan. The plot centres on the sudden attack of Wulf, a ruthless lord of the Dunlanders who seeks to avenge his father's death. Helm and his men are forced to give their last stand at the fortress of Hornburg, which will later become known as Helm's Fall. Helm's daughter, Hera, leads the resistance against the deadly enemy.

In the film, the characters will be voiced by actors including Miranda Otto as Éowyn, Brian Cox as Helm and Luke Pasqualino as Wolf. The Rohirrim War is scheduled to premiere in US cinemas on 13 December.
