Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi Watch 5 Active smartwatch on 27 August

Xiaomi has unexpectedly announced the release date of its new smart watch.

The novelty will be called Redmi Watch 5 Active. According to the manufacturer's invitation, the gadget will debut in India on 27 August. The smartwatch will get a 2-inch touchscreen display with OLED-matrix.

The gadget will support Bluetooth calling as well as over 140 sports modes. The device will also be equipped with Alexa voice assistant, various sensors to track health metrics and HyperOS operating system.

The Redmi Watch 5 Active will be able to last up to 18 days on a single charge.
