One of the most anticipated games this year is the remake of the horror game Silent Hill 2. It takes about 8 hours to complete the original, but the updated version will take you twice as long.

Here's What We Know

Silent Hill 2 director Mateusz Lenart said that the story will take 16-18 hours to complete. If you want to find everything that the developers have hidden, then the game will take you 20 hours or more.

When We Can Expect It

Silent Hill 2 comes out on 8 October on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Flashback

Having received a letter from his late wife, James sets off in the hope of seeing her again in the city with which they are connected by memories: Silent Hill. There, by the lake, he meets a woman who looks very much like her. But what really brought him to the town?

Bloober Team is in charge of the development. The team approaches the remake with great care and respect for the original game. The developers are working closely with the creators of the original game to preserve the unique atmosphere of Silent Hill 2.

One of the features of the horror remake will be the standard third-person view. The game will also have a rebuilt combat system and improved facial animations to better convey the emotions of the characters.

The game is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Along with this, they are using Lumen for lighting and Nanite for level design. All this will help to update the foggy city and enhance its atmosphere.
