A few months before the release of Black Myth: WuKong it became known that its release on Xbox Series is postponed indefinitely.

Some gamers assumed that the developers made an agreement with Sony for temporary console exclusivity of their game, but probably everything turned out to be much more banal.

Here's What We Know

Forbes journalist Paul Tassi reported that Black Myth: Wukong is not available on Xbox Series solely due to technical issues. He does not have exact information about what the reason is, but he is sure that it is the same one that faced the developers of Baldur's Gate III.

The fact that Microsoft's policy strictly prescribes the release of games simultaneously on the powerful Xbox Series X and the initially weak and outdated Xbox Series S, and if the project can not be adapted to the low-powered device - its release is delayed or cancelled altogether.

As for Baldur's Gate III, it managed to be optimised for Xbox Series S, but had to make concessions and give up an important option. We'll see how the Chinese plan to solve this problem.
