Samsung has expanded the availability of the Circle to Search feature for the Galaxy S21 FE to include new countries. Previously, the feature was only available in Asian countries, but it is now available in Canada, Europe and the US.

Here's What We Know

The update, which includes the Circle to Search feature and the August 2024 security patch, is already available in Canada with firmware version G990WVLUCGXG8. In Europe, the update is available with firmware versions G990BXXU9GXH2 or G990B2XXU8GXH2, depending on the phone model SM-G990B or SM-G990B2 respectively. In the US, both carrier-locked devices (firmware version G990USQUCGXG8) and unlocked versions of the S21 FE (G990U1UEUCGXG7) will receive the update.

Circle to Search allows users to highlight text or an image on the screen to quickly search Google without leaving the current app. The update also fixes about 50 security vulnerabilities.

Users can check for the update in the phone's settings menu. The Galaxy S21 FE, released in early 2022 with Android 12, has already received updates to Android 13 and 14, with updates to Android 15 and 16 expected in the future.
