According to Mark Gurman, Apple is planning an unusual approach to the iPhone 16 launch. In particular, the company will organise mandatory meetings for all Apple Store employees after the event that will take place on 10 September.

Here's What We Know

The meetings are likely to be held either in the evening of 12 September or in the morning of 13 September, instead of the usual Sunday meetings.

Gourmet also reports that Apple has begun training its retail employees on the new feature, Apple Intelligence, which will be an important part of the iPhone 16 in-store advertising campaign.

Despite expectations that Apple Intelligence would be introduced with the iPhone 16, its official launch has been postponed until October, when iOS 18.1 is released. However, features such as writing tools, notification summaries, and a new Siri interface will be available at that time. More advanced features, including Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration, will only be available in iOS 18.2 or later.

Analysts believe that thanks to the new AI features, iPhone 16 sales could grow to 10 million units. This explains why Apple is so actively promoting these capabilities in its stores.
