Atari 7800+ retro console with support for original cartridges has been announced. This is a re-release of the original Atari 7800, which was released in 1986, and the manufacturer even kept the design.

The main innovation is that the Atari 7800+ has seamless connection to modern screens via HDMI cable - no more adapters required.

If you still have Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 cartridges, they will be compatible with the new device.

The console comes with a CX78+ wireless controller, which costs $35 separately, and you can additionally buy a CX40+ joystick for the same amount.

The box with the Atari 7800+ will come with Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest game.

Sales of the Atari 7800+ will start in the winter of 2024. Buyers can already pre-order it for $130.
