Google is developing a new drag-and-drop file sharing feature on Android app Quick Share
Google is working on adding drag-and-drop file sharing to Quick Share for Android devices with larger screens, such as tablets and foldable smartphones.
Here's What We Know
The feature is already available on Windows, but it may now be coming to Android. The latest beta of Google Play Services (24.34.32 beta) showed signs of development for the feature. Quick Share, formerly known as Nearby Share, allows you to easily share files between devices without a physical connection.
Currently, Android users have to select a file, tap the "Share" button, and choose a device to send it to. The new drag and drop feature will simplify this process, allowing users to simply drag the file onto the device icon. While the feature is not yet fully functional, its arrival will greatly improve the usability of Quick Share on devices with larger screens.
