Samsung has announced a new partnership with Qualcomm Technologies that will focus on the development of advanced chips for automotive infotainment and driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Here's What We Know

The basis of the collaboration will be Samsung's LPDDR4X memory chip, certified for the Qualcomm Snapdragon digital body. This combination will provide high-performance premium systems and advanced driver assistance features in new cars.

This alliance will significantly enhance Samsung's position in the automotive memory market, where it currently ranks second after Micron.

The company's plans include the launch of mass production of the LPDDR5 memory chip, which promises speeds of up to 9.6Gbps even at extreme temperatures.
