Samsung is already testing Android 15 with One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy S21 FE

Samsung is testing a new version of the Android operating system on the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone.

The information was shared by our colleagues from SamMobile. Galaxy S21 FE appeared in the database of the Geekbench performance test with Android 15 on board. By the way, besides the Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung is also testing the system on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Most likely, these are the models that will be the first to receive the beta software. Then the firmware will be released for the FE model.

If rumours are to be believed, Samsung will announce One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 in September. The shell will get significant visual changes inspired by iOS 18 and HyperOS. Most notable will be the icons, which will have a rounded shape with a subtle 3D effect like in macOS or VisionOS. Users will also be able to customise quick actions on the lock screen. One UI 7 will also add an updated notification panel, new branded apps and more.
